About

Quiet is learning from one of my heroes—Bob Ross. Following his tutorial of Bubbling Brook, I painted this piece from light to dark with watercolour and gouache. While Bob Ross worked from the tonal values of dark to light with oil paint.

This practice was a great way for me to see things in reverse and I thoroughly enjoyed the process. The delicate highlights on the tree trunks and shimmer of the stream were achieved by mixing watercolour and white gouache.
