About
Food as Landscape Series is a trio of mixed media pieces exhibited in a group exhibition with my fellow art friends of Art Seize at Grids & Circles (permanently closed). Inspired by the cafe’s Japanese fusion menu, I decided to give nature landscapes a little twist.
Tamagoyaki Flower Park
Referencing Shikisai Hill, Hokkaido, I transformed the rows of flowers into a type of Japanese omelette, tamagoyaki. The omelette texture creates an interesting contrast with floral landscape and the final piece gives off a sense of whimsicality.
